Producer Guidelines
Dear Local Food Producer,
Thank you for your interest in partnering with Farmer’s. These guidelines will help you decide if we’re a good fit for one another.
Farmer’s is a year-round, indoor farmstop and community gathering place in the heart of New Orleans, just steps from the Lafitte Greenway. We operate on consignment with our producers, keeping the connection between customer and farmer (or fisherman, baker, or beekeeper) front and center. As a producer, you keep ownership of your goods until they find a happy home with a customer.
Our mission is to strengthen the local food economy while celebrating the flavors, stories, and traditions that make our region one of the most vibrant food cultures in the world.
Farmer’s grows our local food network in three key ways:
Providing flexible, year-round sales channels that support your growth, extend your season, and put you directly in front of the people who value your work, including:
Our market offers a full selection of fresh-picked produce, meats, seafood, dairy, and seasonal specialties
Prepared foods and baked goods from local kitchens
Online ordering with weekly farm-share boxes
Giving customers everyday access to the rich variety of locally produced food beyond the hours of weekly farmer’s markets.
Creating a gathering space where neighbors meet, musicians might play on the corner, and conversations about food and farming flow.

Application & Selection
We welcome a variety of producers — farmers, fishers, ranchers, bakers, and makers of all kinds. To keep our selection balanced, we accept a limited number of producers in each category. Preference is given to those in Southeast Louisiana and South Mississippi who offer extended-season availability, unique products, and the kind of quality that keeps people coming back.
Let’s work together to put the freshest, most flavorful products of our region on the tables of New Orleans.
